why do we have to pay cash?

I am racking my brains here and can't figure why the spouse visa fee needs to be paid in cash?

1)It is dangerous walking around Ghana with 820 sterling cash

2)It is difficult and inconvenient for no reason..why can't you pay online like most countries?

I would like to hear a sound reason, or alternatives to this problem please

it divides subjects into topics which can be searched for easier..logic..but if it really annoys u will try and keep all my varied questions to one thread, even tho it will reduce effectiveness
