PEO - can i bring a laptop?

and will i be able to use it? if so, are the power outlets available, or only should rely on battery?

thank you all. ok, understand the laptop. but do not understand the mobile - shall i leave it at home? or is there a place there to "check it in" as it were?

also, i have not really crawled through the uk border agency site, but do they a set of guidelines for attending a peo which spells our what to do and not to do?

It's simple, switch it off and put it in your pocket. I guess your pocket is the safest place

You are just not allowed to use your cell phone within the PEO premise, there is no restriction on bringing in your cell phone.

At the PEO, do what you want when the CW is not working on your case. Just don't stare at the female CW's as your application is in their hands.

My appointment was on 28th feb, and I have seen one person using Laptop.

The point is you can bring the laptop and use it at your discretion. Use of Mobile phones is strictly prohibited.

During my recent visit to Glasgow PEO they collected my and my wife's cell phone and stored in a cover @ security as they said Mob phones are not allowed inside the UKBA office. Also they said they will allow me to keep the laptop inside the laptop bag but cannot use it inside the office and I need to keep all the bags including the one which I have laptop under the chairs.

So underlying theme you can carry Mob phone & laptop to the UKBA office but you are not allowed to use them. So may be you need to Mob to call a taxi after the completion of the submission or if you own a car better leave them in the Car So you can use it after everything is done.
