Police arrest in Citizenship application

Post by adropofwater » Sun Feb 26, 2012 9:35 am

Hi All
due to issues with my ex, I was arrested by police for 4 hours but I was not convicted of any crime. Case was dropped by police itself as they didn't find any evidences of any crime. In other words, I didn't have to go to court or what ever.

Is this a criminal conviction? Do I have to mention this incident in my application?

Please suggest if It would come in Criminal Records search.

An arrest does show up on an enhanced CRB check but also noticeable would be the fact there was no prosecution.

An arrest is not a criminal conviction and would not have to be put on the AN form from the best of my knowledge.
