New job, new house

Post by toneee » Tue Aug 29, 2006 9:37 am

My wife is currently in Zimbabwe, waiting for her visa application to be processed. It's been over two months already and when I phoned today, I was told it would probably be done in early October.

However, since we made the application, I have started new job, which pays considerably more than my last. Also I am living in my mother's house rent-free, which also improves my financial position greatly.

This information would, no doubt, be beneficial to my wife's application, but seeing as there's only a month left until the application is looked at, should I bother to mention it? It would be helpful, bit I'm worried that mentioning my situation has changed since the application was made could actually negatively affect the outcome.

What should I do?

You should email them the new details and let your wife carry, a copy of it to the interview.

Apparently, they rarely do interviews. I was considering emailing them, but I was worried that by suggesting my circumstances had changed they might not want us to reapply. I guess I'll just have to wait and see what their decision is.
