Tier 2 ICT - Established staff

Hi,

Need some urgent help to understand what 'Established staff' category in Tier 2 ICT Visa is? I have looked for this specific answer on this question but could not find it, hence starting this new topic.

Is it the old version of ICT Visa that was given upto 6th April 2010?

Now, my current Tier 2 ICT Visa was applied after 6th April 2010 and is from 29th April 2010 to 1st May 2012.

In this scenario, can I switch employer by staying within UK on either Tier 2 ICT or Tier 2 General if my new employer is ready to sponsor me?

You cannot switch employers within the Tier 2 ICT category because you must have worked for your ICT sponsor/employer for at least 12 months beforehand and this is an impossibility if you have a new employer.

However, you can switch into Tier 2 (General) in-country from

Tier 2 (Intra-Company Transfer: Established Staff) if you
are applying to change sponsor, or from

Tier 2 (Intra-Company Transfer), under the rules in place
before 6 April 2010 if you are applying to change sponsor
