Switching from PSW to Tier 1 dependant

My current PSW visa expires in January 2013. I am getting married this September and my fiancée has got T1 visa. Do I need to go back home and to apply for the dependant visa outside the UK? Is there any chance I can do it without leaving the country?
That really sucks - we've been living here for more than 3 years. I don't see any point why I should go back and spend money on the hotels, take unpaid leave at work etc.
