Maintenance Requirements for PBS Dependant Visa

Post by holla007 » Fri Mar 16, 2012 10:31 pm

Dear Guys,

I have spent more than two yearsin UK under on PBS categories but my wife is outside UK and has never being to or applied to UK before.

Can i clarify from you guys how much exactly do i need to keep in my account for the 3 months required period personally and how much does my wife need to keep on her account personally for the required period.

Secondly guys, what about if my wife couldn’t meet up with the required fund on her account and i have enough fund on my personal account to cover for both of us for the required 3 months period, can i use my own personal account only for both of us.?

Thank you as I wait your response.

Sincerely

Holla

holla,
if u gonna apply on or after 14 June 2012 so u need £900 + £1,800
if u gonna apply before 14 June 2012 so u need £800 + £1,600
your self maintenance + Dependent

you can use your account also; because she is just dependent on you

None the amounts specified by Nolada are correct. You are not making an application in addition to your wife therefore only maintenance for your wife is necessary.

If you apply now you need 533 and if you apply after 12 June you need 600

Can be held in your account or hers.

because he mentioned "my wife is outside UK and has never being to or applied to UK before" so to be in safe side is to use that amounts.
and also its my common sense maybe im right or wrong ... our first entry clearance application we should show maintenance £2800 +£1600 each dependant. now because we start work in uk they ask us to show just £800.
now his wife never come to UK maybe the case worker think about that first entry clearance application dependent application out side UK.
so what gonna happen if he got just the £533 or £600 and case worker refuse the application according to shortage of maintenance.
my point of view to b in safe side in this case, its a bit tricky any way...

I think he is asking for correct information rather than what you, in your opinion, consider to be safe. It would be safe if he had a bank balance 1,000,000 but that is not necessary; he needs only the amount specified for a PBS dependant whose partner is already inside the UK for 12 months and is not making an application for themselves in addition to the dependant.

Hi Lucapooka,

I am in a similar situation; my husband is in UK for more than 3 years. He got his tier 1 PSW in feb 2010 and tier 1 General in June 2011. Now both of these are PBS categories and both of these visas have been issued in UK. This means he has been in UK for more than 12 months. Now i have applied as a Tier 1 Dependent; now i want to confirm how much funds are required to show in the bank statement. Urgent response needed. is it 533 or 1600?

533 but I think this will rise to 600 in June so bear that in mind if you are likely to delay your application.

Hi Lucapooka,

You have been an angel for me. I applied on 26th march 2012; so this makes 533 pounds for me. :)

But u r 100% the requirement is 533 for my case and not 1600?

Do u think they will consider my husbands total stay in UK for the maintenance funds requirement on Tier 1 (PSW+General)? = 2.5 years.

Tier 1 General Stay = 10 months
Tier 1 PSW stay= 1.5 years

But during all this time he has stayed in UK.

Maintenance,Tier 1 Dependants Appllying for entry clearance

Post by afzalfinance » Sun Jan 06, 2013 1:01 pm

Any expert please confirm or correct me if I am wrong:

I am on Tier 1 general and intend to apply for my dependant from Pakistan for Visa. My spouce and 2 kids will be applying. I am living in this country for more than a year.
Should I have (£600 x 3) £1800 in Bank for 90 days as maintenance fund?

Thanks for your time and help.
Regards
God help those who help themselves

Hi Guys

Urgent help is required!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!plssssssssssssssssssssssssssss

My wife will apply from Pakistan for Tier 1 General Dependent visa.
I am maintianing fund for £1800 + for last 2 months.

I am on Tier 1 General for last two years and in UK for last 5 years. How much maintaince fund I need to show for 90 days.

Someone told me that £1800 for your wife and £600 for myself totalling £2400 for 90 days and it should not fall below. Is this correct?

Can someone please tell me how much exactly correct amount i need to maintain for 90 days?

PBS dependent policy guidance point 44, 45, 46, 47 are confusing...
