extension of stay under tier 1 (gen) to qualify for ILR 5yr

Post by brchaplin » Sat Mar 17, 2012 3:51 pm

Hi everyone - My first HSMP visa was granted 31 May 2007. I was in Australia at the time it was approved and so didn't arrive in the UK until 1 week later on 7 June 2007. The reason for my absence from the UK was that the initial HSMP application had been rejected but was subsequently approved on appeal.

I intend to apply for ILR at the end of May but wondered whether I needed a short extension of my current Tier 1 (general) in order to fulfil the 5 year requirement?

Does anyone know the answer to this?
