Barcode not working at post office

I got biometric letter today. At the post office the dependent's were able to record biometric but my barcode was not recognised.

Is there anybody whose barcode on biometric letter did not work at post office for first time and then worked second time after they requested for NEW biometric letter?

Anybody has similar experience?

Home office has allowed Biometrics at Post Offices for all from 1st March 2012. All applicants get barcoded letters now.

many barcodes dont scan at PO. thats a story for another time though

I am totally confused now.

I called up UKBA on 0870 606... and asked them to send a corrected barcode letter.

On Saturday I had also emailed AppointmentExceptions informing them about my barcode error and I just got reply from AppointmentExceptions saying that if the letter failed once then it will not work at post office and I have to book PEO appointment.

I think I will wait for my barcode letter and give it a go.
