Which option to use as Maintenance Evidence

Post by Khurram545 » Thu Mar 22, 2012 8:27 pm

Hi,

On coming Monday , my family (4 members) is going to apply as T2G dependants. I am still confused which option to choose as maintenance funds . I have both the bank statement and letter from A-rated sponsor (my employer) , anyone from the both will be used as extra supporting document.

my bank statement may have following issues:

I maintained £3133 minimum during last three months. which is just £200 more than required fund, is this worth to use as an option with very close to required fund?

To maintain minimum balance , my friend made transactions to me and I paid back to him time to time , will it has any negative impact?

My statement include records prior to 3 months (I had to use because that's the same page when 3 months cut off period start) which show my inital balance was less than required balance but afraid visa officer will not consider it as low balance

so please guide me which one to use as Maintenance Evidence?

If you have been in the UK for 12 months your need 533 x 4 = 2132

So you clearly have more than sufficient funds. You need only the amount asked in the guidance and having only slightly more than this is not considered in a negative light. So even if your sum was correct (but it isn`t as you are not applying with your family) it would not matter that is was only slightly more than necessary.

So to answer your question, you can use either sources of maintenance if they meet the requirements.

If you have not been in the UK for 12 months you need 1600 x 4 = 6400
necessary.

The minimum needs to be like this
800(for the main applicant, though he is not applying now) + (533 x 4) = 2932

Kindly clarify me...[/quote]

You're bang on point. You need to show that including yourself. Second point is that it doesn't matter if your maintenance fund is just £200 quid more than the minimum. It is perfectly fine as long as it even 1 penny more than you need. The system acts like a robot in this case, either yes or no only. That is good, isn't it?
Good luck!!
