Same day or Postal? Appeal Question

Hi, very very quickly. I heard or read somewhere (sorry, forgot the link) that if you do a same day application, you may not have right of appeal as your visa would not have expired. However, if you do a postal, you will.

Is this true?

What are the grounds for providing a right to appeal?

Only if the visa expires while it`s under consideration.

If visa expires 10 of Jan and I do the same day application on the 8th - will i have the right of appeal?
If i do the same day application on the 15th of December, will i have the right of appeal?
