Importance of more points

Does applicant's chance increase with more number of points?
The more points the better chances.

Or,

Meeting cut off is sufficient?

Please help.

Once you get the HSMP approval it does not matter at all how many points you have. It's a pass / fail test.

However, since you often get less points than you claim, it is better to try and claim as many points as you can.
